In America it is status quo to need a gadget for everything. The amount of marketing spent on new and expecting parents is simply obnoxious! Babies are simple and need very few things. Ignore the marketing and focus on what counts. Living tiny means keeping things as simple as possible, so we wanted to keep our kids gear really practical.

Here are some of the items we get a lot of use out of:

Chicco Portable Hook-on Chair – This chair is awesome, it doesn’t take up any floor space and it can easily be moved from inside the RV to outside at the picnic table. It is also easily disassembled and machine washable!

LÍLLÉbaby All Seasons Carrier – We use this constantly! When Gesen was pregnant with Isaiah and it got too hard to carry Keahi in the front, it was easily adjusted for her to carry him on her back. The carrier is a life saver to carry Isaiah handsfree while chasing after Keahi or while grocery shopping.

Lotus Travel Crib – we used this for Keahi until he could climb out of it, and now we are using it for Isaiah. It collapses down for easy transport when we stay with family and for storage under our bed when out of use. It does require special sized sheets, but Gesen was able to sew a couple to fit out of an old twin flannel sheet.

Croozer Kid for 2 Bicycle Trailer – This is an awesome double stroller/ bike trailer that we can use to transport both boys. We got ours used to save several hundred dollars.

Deuter Hiking Carrier Backpack – This is an awesome carrier for toddlers and young explorers. The ability to set it on the ground with the child strapped inside is an added bonus because there are some places you need a break but don’t want little explorers running free.

Lovevery Play Gym – This is a fun activity center for babies and small toddlers. It collapses down pretty small when not in use and is machine washable!

Infant Optics Baby Monitor – We mounted this on the ceiling in the bunkhouse to monitor the boys when they are sleeping. It allows us to go outside and enjoy the campfire and still hear if one of them wakes up.
